Free Cosmetic Surgery - Military

Free Plastic Surgery on the tax payers, yes you read it correctly, but there is one catch you must be military or a member of the immediate family. You can have pretty much any type of elective cosmetic alteration as the tax payers’ expense. The one major thing you may want to know though if you want breast enlargements is that you will need to supply your own implants. The implants will be something you will have to pay out of pocket.

One more plus to free military cosmetic surgery is there is no limit to the surgeries you can get, but there may be waiting lists involved.

Many people may be wondering why this is possible, is it fair, and is it right? Let me explain a bit so people who are not in the military do not get their feathers ruffled.

Military doctors who are trained in plastic surgery need to do so many surgeries a year to make sure they keep their certification. The fact is many military families do not know of this service, so its not that the military is handing out frivolous cosmetic surgery they are making sure that military doctors keep their certifications. Keep a mind a plastic surgeon does not only alter the body for personal reason they also do reconstructive surgery to correct a problem that is medically needed or due to accidents, etc.

The New Yorker wrote a wonderful article about free cosmetic surgery for military and anyone considering this venue should read this article to have a better understanding of the how’s and why’s. You can read this article by clicking here.
